Functions of Public Relations in Forming Palestinian Policemen Mental Image

Abstract
This study aims at identifying the functions of public relations in forming the mental image of Palestinian policemen among the Palestinian public opinion. The study is regarded as descriptive one based on a comprehensive survey of an intentional sample of (43)policemen in public relations .
The study has come to the following findings: - Public relations solving the problems confronting the police, focusing on both the internal and external public, In addition, public relative seeks to gain the confidence of the public through abiding by customs and traditions. The study has shown that public relations suffers from the lack of using printed materials, advertisements and cooperation with various mass media as well as civil society organization Moreover.
