Determiners of Rationalizing in Jordan Society

Abstract
This study aimed at revealing whether the Jordanian consumer prepares a careful and investigated budget involving the price, fidelity, the goods validity and the purchase priorities .In order to achieve this aim, a sample from Irbid governorate consisting of 510 consumers has been chosen. The results showed that individuals of the sample often think of abridging the cost of goods as much as possible before buying.
The results also showed the existence of statistic difference between rationalizing consumption and the variants of educational levels, residence location, family salary, savings of salaries, satisfaction with the savings, additional income, the number of weekly shopping, the necessity of consumption rationalization and the length of shopping time. It also revealed the non-existence of statistic differences between consumption rationalization and variables of age, the type of residence, the current
career, the wife is job , the number of dependent members of families and the satisfaction with levels of expenditure.
