The Communication Activities of the Public Relations Section at King Abdullah University Hospital and its Importance and Impact on the audience

Abstract

This study aims to identify on the communication activities of the public relations section at King Abdullah University Hospital and its importance in communicating with the internal and external audiences of the hospital. The study uses survey to carry out this research, using the questionnaire to collect information and data. The study sample consisted of (13) practitioners of public relations at King Abdullah University Hospital. The researcher used complete census method in determining the sample of the study. The study has come up with the following results:

1.       The new media outperform the other means of communication used by public relations practitioners in the hospital.

2.       The practitioners of the public relations in the hospital are using personal and group communication.

3.       The public relations section at the hospital carries out informational and news communication activities.
