Abstract
This research aims to study archaism in some structures in modern standard Arabic, based on the idea that these structures, though becoming barely used nowadays, are used in the Holy Quran. So this research attempts to study the uses of these archaic structures and to show the importance of renovate them.
Arabic has its own distinctive features of development and transformation but such kind of development is limited; Arabic keeps consistency for a long time and the archaic structures need to be further explored and described in terms of current linguistic use compared to ancient usage of these archaic structures. The idea is to evaluate the transformation such archaic structures went through so as to renovate these structures as needed taking into consideration the nature of targeted learners as some structures might be taught orally while others need to be taught by writing.
