Abstract
The current research seeks to study the cultural integration involving the humanitarian, national and patriotic dimensions in the /s/– rhymed poems written by Shawqi. The study aims at tackling the aesthetic and textual structure of Shawqi’s poems along with contextual devices, semantic-pragmatic relations, literary devices, and harmony. Furthermore, it underlines some contextual and intertextual references found in these poems. This sort of intertextuality has paved the way for the researcher to capture some aspects of the cultural integration reflected on the /s/ - rhymed poems of Shawqi such as wise management, rhetoric, pen and book, intertwined administrative concepts, palaces, the state, and constant traumas, among other aspects.
