Abstract

This research paper handles an issue of criticism; which is dealing with poetry as an industry, like other industries, in terms of its creativity or value as this issue attracted the attention of old Arab critics who presented critique scripts illustrating either a link between the poetic approach and the industrial one or an explanation of the poetic creativity process through its connection with material industries. Accordingly, this research aims at investigating the early steps of the industry concept in the old Arabic criticism, analyzing its dimensions, and clarifying how it was borrowed into literary and criticism fields. It also aims at tracking this concept in Arab critics’ books and trying to analyze it in light of their vision of poetic creativity.
