Abstract
This research approaches one of the topics that reflect the highness of the Quranic style in its greatest images and finest manifestations; the duality pronoun in the Qur'anic expression. It is a pronoun used in the Holy Quran in three dimensions: A complete match is between the duality pronoun and what it refers to in the first dimension, while in the second dimension there is a Deviation at the levels of singularity, duality, and plurality in the sentence composition which includes the duality pronoun clearly or interpretively. In the third dimension, the referencing of the duality pronoun varies and there can be a disagreement in its interpretation.
The research seeks to examine these dimensions in the guidance of a number of Quranic verses, which included the duality pronoun in order to determine the limits of interpretation in these verses, as required by the philosophy of language, and what expressive potential and prospects of meaning it offers, with some focus on the second and third dimensions.
The first dimension is being discussed in brief as the referent of the duality pronoun is straight forward and requires no interpretation. Having finished reading this research, it will be clear that the duality pronoun in the Quranic expression is considered as a rich resource of the language miracleness in the Holy Quran. This reflects the Unique philosophy of Arabic Language which allows expressing the singularity by using the duality; the duality to express the plurality and vice versa. The final goal of this research as a part of the philosophy of language tries to show some of its beauty and present some of the values and secrets which the Holy Quran glitters.
