Jordanian press--- Upbringing and Development 1920-1905

Abstract
This study aimed to identify the process of the Jordanian press characteristics and it's development since its beginning until now. In addition to identify the reality of the press freedom and weather the lows of the press and publications governing this freedom have contributed in advancing the Jordanian press or it's full this will be tackled through the historical methodology which is paste on tracking phenomena and to link the events together.
The results pointed out that the laws of the press and publication and it's different amendments did not contribute to raise the ceiling of freedom but the lows oftenly expanded The prohibition and penalties with the return of the parliamentary life to Jordan in 1989 the Jordanian prress flourished and there was a margin of freedom not only in the field of publishing but also in dealing with sensitive topics the semi-governmental newspaper were trying to avoid
The results showed that the Jordanian press played a prominent role in presenting the views of the various political forces, and helped pushing the debate about traditional ideas which were previously of tapoos. In addition, its role in detecting several cases of corruption and pointed the involvement of employees in different administrative positions and revealed irregularities in appointments and giving priority to personal interests on the public interest.
