Abstract

During my work om the methodological and stylistic study of Hazim al-Qurtagni’s  book” Minhaj Al –Bukga’a wa Siraj Al- Audaba’a”, as my Ph.D thesis, I noticed that many modern inerpreters of this classic boo have been mistaken in their explanatory and analytical reading of many Hazimian concepts related to Arabic critical and rhetorical issues. Some of these interpretaions misuse the concepts by offering imprecise explanation or stating risky critical judgments without carefully examining the exact critical intentions of Hazim.

It was not aq main objective of that stidy to evaluate modern criticism. Moreover, the problematics, that I encountered as I presented Hazim’s statis and methodology. Were far between and not closely connected with the line of thought in the dissertation. Therefore I decided to keep them in their natural places within the study and deal with them in a separate work later. I that arise arund the following issues:-

1-      Dividing the methodology.

2-      Aristotelian influence.

3-      Style.

4-      Problem of poetic intensity.

5-      Logical branching.

6-      Scansion lesson.

7-      Form and  content.
