Abstract

Al Khateeb Al Iskaff's book Al-Majales (The audiences) represents, like other audiences books, a collection of discussions of different issues of knowledge. In his book, he discussed issues in interpreting verses explaining the prophet's sayings, explaining a collection of proverbs, poems and wise sayings He also distinguished a score of issues that he called "syntactic issues and these were a mixture of morphology and syntax. The correlation between the two is still valid and syntax is given precedence even after morphology has become an independent science(since al Mazini's book "Morphology As We Have Had It").

This research has separated the pare morphological issues available in the syntactic issues. It resumes an absolute controversy of the morphological issues that is added to the common research on syntactic dispute, and it reveals the morphology of the Arabic philologists in interpreting those issues. It also reveals Al-Khateeb Al-Iskaff's role in this respect.
