Moralism in the Love Poetry of Al-Abbas Bin Al-Ahnaf

Abstract
This paper aims at anatomizing platonic love in the poetry of Al-Abbas Bin Al-Ahnaf. His poetry is coloured with moralism with which the poet is obsessed and from which he obtains the high standards of treating his beloved. Thus, researchers explore these moral features through his poetry. In particular, this study examines the poet's fidelity, honesty, confidentiality, chastity, patience and conviction. In so doing, this paper critical and technically analyzes his poetry.
