Freedom of the Jordanian Press under the Umbrage of the Return of the Parliamentary life way in the Global Era. 1989 – 2008

Abstract
The study presents the actuality of the Press freedom in Jordan under the umbrage of a new era with its globalist features in its numerous dimensions which deep end increasingly all over the world since that last decade of the democracy openness in the twentieth century in Jordan that came after the return of the parliamentary.
This study comes to know the range of the cooperation with the press and the Government establishments and their submission of facts which must people know as the press represents the fourth estate in the society.
The researcher depends on the qualitative analysis method to find the facts that have a relation with the era by taking up what was issued in the daily and weekly news papers.
The study has come to many results and the following were best appears:
1. Quick amendment and changing the Jordanian laws of editing and issuing, as they don’t include the freedom of expressing and opinion which confirm the democracy action due to many passive restricts on the press freedom.
2. Despite the information openness after the resumption of the democracy life way in Jordan, however it faces legal hindrances during performance of its mission freely and independency, that makes a hindrance in preparing the free climate to go up with the society through providing knowledge to the individuals.
3. The extreme competition among the daily and weekly news paper with the aim of appealing the readers that makes some of these news papers to over do in presenting the subjects which they issue.
4. The Jordanian press faces difficult challenges in the umbrage of the global era which makes it inability to do its duty perfectly in removing the hindrances and go beyond the press editions, besides, the importance of assignment of modern technology in favor of press work for the sake of going along with the spirit of the era, as it is one of the global means.
The study came to the necessity of finding solidity effective press system that achieves balance between press freedom and responsibilities by connecting between bigger quantity of professionalism for who are working – in press in one side, and to give space to the whole society towards understanding the naturalist of the press professionalism in the other side.
