Abstract
The paper consists of an introduction, two sections and conclusion. The introduction delineates the importance of communication in the management of battles. The first section deals with the meaning of word "communication" as a linguistic and technical term. The second section deals with the various means of communication used the warring parties, signs, codes, and flags, the conclusion summarizes the findings of the paper.
