Dialectical Relationship between Al – Buhturi and Shanfara Seatri-Ray (And Wolves to Ouhta Antioch Model)

Abstract

Al – Buhturi lived a luxurious life deriving its prosperity and affluence from the gifts given to him from the caliphs, the rich and the rulers whom he praised in his poems. He owend some lands particularly during the reign of the Abassid caliph-Al-Mutawakil, When Al—Mutawakil was killed, he suffered a financial and psycholoical set back; thus disserting every Arab trend. He directed his interest into describing Kissra’s mansion and praising the percian civilization. His famous poem “Al – siniyyahhas, therefore, come as ature reflection to his fluctuating sad psychological mood. He tried to imitate Al-shan fara’s psychological experience in alienation and in expressing unjust and loss. The musical harmony the internal rehthems, the twisting verses, and all the tones of the poem have formed additional factors in combining the tone, the image and the meaning; a matter which brought about the artistic fame of this poem.
