The Impact of Television Programs to Students at Yarmouk University

Abstract
The study aims to know the number of hours that Yarmouk University students spend watching TV. It also aims at finding the attitudes towards the issues presented, as well as, the role of TV in fulfilling the viewers' desires.
Using a descriptive method, the study concludes the following:
- The percentage of viewers who watch TV from 1-2 hours was the highest (40.7%).
- Most viewers prefer watching TV programs night time rather than day time. The percentage was (90.7%).
- Both males and females have the same degree of awareness towards the subjects presented on TV.
- The majority of viewers prefer television stations which satisfy their wants rather than their needs
