Abstract

First of all the research discuses the issue of implementing of the Arabic heritage by contemporary poets, by employ the mythic public symbols which give the poem energies of expressions and technical dramaticall means in addition to sociological, political, and social indications. These indications reflect the feeling of the poet regarding the problems of people, and his attitudes toward a lot of different issues and his visions about them.

Therefore, the literary analysis in this research handled the legendary public symbols which were included in the Arabic collective conscience and used by the poets in their poems, such as: Al-sindibad, shahrazad, shahrayar, zarkaa’ al-yamamah, and Al-zabbaa’, who were described by Arab poets by dramatic and technical methods, such as the symbol, the mask, and the dialogue, and they put on them various semiotic indications which were filled with directions and modern visions that homogenize with these symbols and their meanings.

All this agrees with the expression of Rolan Bart which is called the “game of indications” in the poetical text.
