Abstract

This research introduces creative activities “the role playing” in the class of French as a foreign language.

This study aims to demonstrate that “creative activities” or the role playing can be used in full measure in the class of French as foreign language. In fact, using the role playing in class, make French language learning more attractive and more profitable for the learner, especially, in Jordan or other countries where French is not spoken.

We noticed that using such activities in our French class make learners more communicative by making them more creative as they participate more actively in their lessons than when they use grammar exercises, direct translation, etc.

The role playing is applied on the field of social and training life. We have to consider them as interactions as such. The role playing practiced in French as a foreign language class is one particular type of verbal interaction.

Finally, we demonstrate that the role playing encourages the team work, eliminates the anxiety in class and develops the communicative competence of students who learn by communicating.
