Students’ Perception of Problems Associated with Translating Computer-Related Texts

Abstract
This study aims at exploring students’ perception of problems associated with translating computer-related texts into five different languages. The problems are categorized into three groups: problems pertaining to dictionaries, problems pertaining to linguistics, and problems pertaining to resources. The subjects of this study were 125 male students enrolled in five different majors (English, French, Spanish, Turkish, and Persian) at the college of Languages and Translation, King Saud University, Saudi Arabia. The study reports important findings and presents new ideas that can be incorporated when teaching translation.
