Narrative Techniques An Empirical Study in the Novel "ADAAY" Mamdouh Adwan

Abstract
This research has presented a structural analysis of a novel named “ADAAY”, shedding light on the single utterance and its effect on semantics of the events and their correlation to the intellectual dimension and the author’s purpose.
This research aims at revealing the semantics, their integrated relations,
implementing them on the novel techniques and their effect not only on the intellectual content but also on the plot. The main purpose is to correlate the theoretical proposal of the novel techniques with the textual evidences without tracking the external factors and their probable effect. The study significance focuses on the narrative type. In addition, it tries to reveal the novel worlds through the time levels included. The first main part tackles the reference of the artistic and beauty of the title. The second part tackles the relations among the characters and how they attract to and alienate each other during the plot. In addition, this research tackles the relationsoftime and their reflections on the narrative text and the artistic cultures implemented such as flashback and foreshadowing.
The research shows different functions of the narrative text including to brief, to fill in gaps left by the narrator, or to predict next events.
